TCS Choir is the original adult choir of the Toowoomba Choral Society. The goal for TCS Choir is to enable and encourage members of the community to experience a wide range of choral repertoire and performance opportunities. We aim to create an enjoyable experience whilst maintaining a standard of musical excellence. Membership for TCS Choir is open to anyone 16 years and over and the first two rehearsals can be used as a free trial before membership fees are required.
One of the objectives of TCS Choir is to cultivate and advance the standard of choral music in Toowoomba. The choir uses every opportunity to improve on their technique and does this by performing in local and State Eisteddfods, by collaborating with other choirs and orchestras in larger works, and by being actively involved in the artistic life of Toowoomba.
Presentations of large works has included Handel’s “The Messiah”, Rutter’s “Requiem” and Sir Karl Jenkins “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra. These concerts have delighted audiences while providing opportunities for some outstanding soloists to demonstrate their talent and musicianship.
