The Addams Family musical is a hilarious comic extravaganza, appealing to an audience young and old, based upon The Addams family characters created by American Cartoonist Charles Addams depicting a ghoulish American family with an attraction to ghastly and grim things. The show centres around Wednesday Addams, the seemingly emotionless ‘Princess of darkness’ with a macabre sense of humour, who is all grown up and fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met. Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother, putting Gomez Addams in a position he has never been – keeping a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. The whole family is in for a dramatic shock the night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents!
