Famous for its well-loved soundtrack, Les Misérables tells the story of love, redemption, and self-forgiveness. Based on Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name, the Toowoomba Choral Society delivered a remarkable production for its 90th anniversary.
Les Mis elicits not only a historical moment, but the strength of the human spirit. Boublil and Schönberg’s musical moves us with its execution of courage and defiance in the face of adversity, its cry for justice, and assertion of love that binds citizens in comradeship.
