VENUE: Armitage Theatre, Toowoomba
It is 1905 in a small Russian-Jewish village, Anatevka, on the eve of the revolutionary period. We see the stories of the village and family life through dairyman, Tevye. As each of his three eldest daughters marry, they move further from the traditional ways and Tevye must find ways to balance to his life and cope with the growing anti-Jewish sentiments of the time.
“Because without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as a Fiddler on the Roof”.
The tale includes beautiful favourites such as “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I were a Rich Man” “Sabbath Prayer,” “Do you Love Me?,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” and “Little Bird”.
Presented by the Toowoomba Choral Society with a chorus/ensemble from the choirs of the Society.
